Acclimatise your new plants
The most beneficial piece of knowledge you can have about your new plant is its origin. This vital piece of information will allow you to determine where in your home your plant will thrive.
However, all plants, regardless of their origin, require good air-circulation and light to survive. If you have just received a new delivery, they would have been deprived of this for no longer than a couple of days. Some will recover from this quicker than others. Some will show no signs of stress whatsoever. Carefully assess your plants watering needs upon receipt of your delivery. The temptation is to jump straight into the care role as soon as you receive your new additions but if you can, allow them to acclimatise first. After a few weeks you may choose to re pot your new plant. However, your plants can stay in their nursery pots for longer as long as it’s not outgrowing its pot, or its roots are not escaping out of the base.
