African Violet - Pink in 12 cm pot

Scientifically known as Saintpaulia ionantha but recently reclassified into the Streptocarpus genus. Native to tropical east Africa. 

These popular, decorative houseplants are known for their attractive velvety leaves and colourful, violet like flowers. 

Care; African violets require good light, but they are an understory rainforest plant and therefore do not want to be exposed to prolonged periods of direct sunlight. These beautiful plants will flower for long periods and providing they are fed regularly in the growing season, will flower at least three times a year!
