Alocasia cuprea 'Red Secret' in 6 cm pot

Commonly referred to as the Elephant Ear Alocasia.  Native to Southeast Asia.
This wonderfully unusual specimen has glossy, almost metallic leaves with hues of copper, green and purple which twinkle when they catch the light. The underside of each leaf is rich burgundy in colour.  If you are looking to add a touch of the exotic to your home, then this may just well be the plant for you! 
Preferring bright to indirect light.  Avoid direct sunlight as this will dull the colours in the leaves.  Keep soil evenly moist, avoid over watering and do not the plant completely dry out.  The Alocasia cuprea 'Red Secret' loves humidity! Sit on a tray of pebbles and water or place in a humid room such as a bathroom or kitchen.
