Begonia maculata 'Spotlight Green' in 12 cm pot

Commonly referred to as the Polka Dot or Angel Wing Polka Dot Begonia.  Native to the Brazilian rainforest.

 The Begonia maculata 'Spotlight Green' is a cane Begonia with an  almost playful appearance.  Delightful white/silver spots sit on a dark green background of narrow bat shaped leaves with an attractive red underside.

The Begonia maculata requires a consistently warm, bright spot, be careful to avoid direct sunlight as this will scorch the leaves.  Remember, the maculata is a rainforest plant, it loves humidity so will thrive in a kitchen or bathroom.  Water when the top of the soil begins to feel dry and avoid over watering.
