Calathea rosepicta 'Illustrious' in 6 cm pot

Commonly named the Rose Painted Calathea.  Native to the South American jungles.

 A darker leafed variety of the Calathea family.  Featuring deep burgundy, almost black, large leaves with an almost 'sketched' effect pink margin and centre stripe on each leaf with a striking purple underside.  Stunning!

  Requiring bright, filtered light and lots of humidity.  Avoid allowing the soil to completely dry out but equally avoid their roots sitting in water.
