Commonly named the Peacock Plant. Native to the South American jungles. This beautiful specimen is commonly found growing under the canopy of leaves where there is little or no sunlight!
A striking houseplant prized for its decorative leaves.of bright green and dark green splashes and markings which creates a 'peacocks-tail' effect. The underside of the leaves are a reddish-purple color. This plant is a type of prayer plant meaning its leaves fold upwards in the evening, resembling praying hands.
Place your Calathea makoyana in a location with bright, indirect light. Avoid direct sunlight, which can scorch the leaves.
