Formerly known as Dracaena godsefiani. Common names include; Gold Dust Dracaena, Spotted Dracaena and Florida Beauty. Native to West and West Central Africa. Specifically, it is found in the tropical rainforests, often in the understory of shaded areas.
Characterized by its striking dark green leaves with yellow or white spots growing from slender, upright stems. If the Dracaena surculosa receives enough light you can expect small white flowers on umbel-like inflorescences which have a gentle, pleasant aroma.
How to care for Dracaena surculosa.
The Dracaena surculosa is a relatively easy plant to care. Thriving in bright, indirect light but be sure to avoid placing your plant in direct sunlight as this will scorch those unusual leaves. Water when the top of the soil begins to dry. Avoid allowing the roots to sit in water as this will cause the roots to rot.
