Fittonia verschaffeltii mini dark pink in 6 cm pot

Commonly referred to as the Nerve Plant.    Native to the rain forests of Columbia.

Fittonias are typically grown for their striking foliage, if a flower appears on your Fittonia I encourage you to remove it in order to divert the energy back into those stunning leaves.  If these plants are kept in the right environment, they are relatively easy and trouble free to keep.  But you do have to get that environment right.  Happy in low to moderate light conditions and loving humidity they will thrive in a glass enclosure, bathroom or kitchen. Keep the soil moist but not waterlogged.  Absolutely perfect for terrariums!
