The scientific name for the Hoya minibelle is Hoya carnosa 'Minibelle' and is a cultivar of the Hoya Sheperdii and Hoya Carnosa. Commonly referred to as the 'Wax Plant' or 'Wax Flower' and native to East Asia and Australia.
The Hoya 'Minibelle' is characterized by its thick, fleshy, succulent-like leaves which are slim, narrow and glossy green in colour. Grown as a vining climber or trailer, in warmer months, when daylight hours are at their longest, you can expect blooms of delicate pink, star shaped flowers. To encourage these beautiful blooms, ensure you provide your Hoya with plenty of light and regular feeding. Allow your Hoya to dry out between watering. Don't be too quick to repot your Hoya, they like to be slightly root bound and have more chance of flowering if this is the case.
