Iresine herbstii 'Bloodleaf' in 6 cm pot

Commonly referred to as the Bloodleaf or Beefsteak Plant.  Native to Brazil.

In recent years this showy, tropical plant has become more and more popular as an indoor houseplant, and even more so as a terrarium plant.  Mainly due to its humidity loving requirements.  With rich deep red, almost fuchsia-coloured leaves it certainly is a showstopper that will brighten up any space!

Ensure the soil dries out between watering but make sure this plant has sufficient humidity, especially if placed as a standalone plant.  The Iresine herbstii 'Bloodleaf' prefers bright but indirect sunlight.
