Commonly known as the Corkscrew Rush. The Juncus spiralis is cultivated from a species that is native to the wet temperate regions worldwide, including Europe, Asia, North America and Africa.
The Corkscrew Rush is known for its dark green, leafless stems which grow with distinctive spiral or corkscrew shape. Thriving in wet, boggy conditions the Juncus spiralis is often seen planted outside, in shallow pond margins. However, they have become increasingly popular in our homes due to their striking, unusual appearance.
Needing very little in the way of care the Juncus spiralis requires a spot in bright, indirect light. Ensure the soil is kept consistently moist, these are typically bog plants so they never want their soil to completely dry out.
