Commonly referred to as Living Stones or the Butthole Plant. Native to arid areas of South Africa, Namibia and Botswana.
Fascinating plants! Evolved to look like rocks to deceive predators and avoid being eaten. These amazing plants can live for up to to 50 years and it is quite likely you will not need to re pot them for at least 10 years! They do however, divide, this will occur every 4 to 5 years. A mature plant is likely to flower, this will usually be late summer or early autumn. The flowers are very pretty and daisy like. Usually white, yellow or orange.
Only water when the soil is completely dry. They love sun! A sunny, south facing windowsill, greenhouse or conservatory is ideal for this little plant to thrive!
