Opuntia microdasys 'Pallida' in 6 cm pot

Commonly referred to as bunnies’ ears and the prickly pear cactus.  Originally only native to the Americas.  The microdasys is one of approximately 150 species of the Opuntia genera.  Although this cactus does not have spines like some may associate with a common cactus it does have very irritating tiny hairs.  These cacti thrive in bright, indirect sunlight and require minimal watering.  Almost no water at all in the winter months.
