Peperomia maculosa'Vanilla' in 12 cm pot

Commonly referred to as the  Radiator Plant a cultivar derived from the Peperomia maculosa species.  Native to the tropical regions of North and South America.  Particularly from Mexico to northern South America.

How to care for Peperomia maculosa 'Vanilla'

Light: Peperomia 'Vanilla' prefers bright, indirect light. Direct sunlight can scorch the leaves, while too little light can cause leggy growth.  In their natural habitat they grow as epiphytes.  This means they attach themselves to trees, under canopies, enabling them to receive more light and air circulation.  

Water when the soil is almost completely dry and ensure the roots are never sitting in wet soil.  The Peperomia is a semi-succulent and would prefer to be dry rather than wet. They do however thrive in warm, humid environments, ideally between 50% and 60%.
